Artist and Phrase of the Week

The artist of the week was an easy pick

The Velvet Underground: All albums all songs.
I just finished an awesome documentary on them and now I'm listening to them. And, I got a letter from an old friend reminding me of special times that included Velvet supplying the soundtrack. Make sure to include them in your weekly plans if at all possible. Oldy but goody.

Phrase of the week is going to go to "Holy Crow"
When something mildly shocking happens (something that would shock a grandmother) simply utter "HOLY CROW" as your 75 year old heart races. Also can be used in a tone of disgust at the mischief of "youngins."

Is Velvet Underground the group you knew in Pullman with the awesome female lead singer? I will try to find a way to listen to something from them. I like it when you expand my musical horizons. You would be totally embarassed to know that I just bought the second CD from Carrie Underwood. Oh well, you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I will try to do better. I miss you! Love, Mom

I have to be honest, I'm not too happy about it, but your old person phrases of the week are infiltrating my already corny-middle-school vocabulary. I actually used the two shakes of a lamb's tail in all seriousness the other day, and I can see this one finding its way in next to the "aw geez" I find myself frequently muttering as I shake my head at attentive-less middle schoolers. Holy crow, I like it. Shoot I am a nerd...Good talking with you, as always, hope Monday was nicer to you this week.
